Not Your Mom's Jeans

BAM! We could not think of a more appropriate acronym for the startup company, Bliss and Mischief. The recently launched California brand is centered on the revamping of old to look new. Founder Hillary Justin is the mastermind behind these made-to-order vintage pieces. Inspired by the desert and her colorful Uncle Phil, Justin’s collection is all hand-embroidered and utterly authentic. From western embellished army jackets, to Levi’s 505 rose-studded boyfriend jeans and Japanese boro textiles, each look is synonymous in its intentions —To be artfully chic without really trying.

So aside from its one of a kind feel, what drives us most crazy for Bliss and Mischief? The brand believes that it’s A-OK to take a holiday from the cut-off-your-circulation jean. Instead, embrace a fit that’s relaxed, with little effort but a whole lot of attitude. Whether it’s a high waist or low rise that floats your boat, the end result is always a win-win. For a Friday night out, pair this pant with a white tee and leather-quilted jacket. Or, opt for an oversized blouse, belt, and pointed pumps for something a bit more business casual. You decide. But remember to keep Bliss and Mischief in mind when you do.
