Way Out West

Watch out, Coachella. This Swedish 3-day music fest isn’t just home to some serious music, but also sweet, sweet style. Held in Gothenburg, Way Out West plays host to a variety of pop music sensations… for seven years (and counting). Notably, Outkast, Janelle Monae, and Neutral Milk Hotel were among many to shake up the stage this past weekend. But they weren’t the only class acts. The festival’s guests graced the grounds in the most fashionable of garbs. Rock tees, distressed denim, and Lennon sunglasses were all the rage. Leather snapbacks, sheer kimonos, and knitted head wraps were more to grace the grounds. Still, what was our most sought out style motif of 2014? The playful patterns! These trendy textiles were anything but quiet—as seen through long vests, oversized tees, and tight cropped tops. With fashions as good as these, we can only hope the fashions brought to Way Out West spread a little more east.
