Comic-Con or Comic-Chic?

What happens when you gather a group of celebs together for a comic book convention? For one thing, the outcome is anything but a nerd-fest. This past weekend marked 45 years of Comic-Con, the popular arts fest held in San Diego, California. With a reputation as the biggest convention of its kind, this year’s fashion spoke the same language—large and in charge. Starlets were styled in bold ensembles that were difficult to ignore…but why would you want to? Jessica Alba was seen sporting a Tanya Taylor bandeau top and Zimmermann Riot Suspend Midi Skirt. Her KOTUR Guzel shoes in chocolate were seamlessly cohesive, while the Bones & Feathers earrings gave off an edgy flare. Elle Fanning also did not disappoint in a whimsical Christopher Kane dress with floral embellishment. The strong hued pointed pumps really packed a punch, and her bold, yellow eyeliner was a perfect addition. Yet, not all celebs met the event’s expectations. Elizabeth Olsen opted for The Row charcoal fitted dress, which was all too fitted and offered no pizazz. Better luck next year, Ms. Olsen.
